- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- fresh chopped peeled apple 1/2- 1 cup. Optional.
